Pimpri, 30th August – The construction work on the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj statue at the site handed over to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) by PMRDA at Sector No. 5 and 8 within the International Exhibition Center in Moshi is currently focused on the foundation platform.

The renowned sculptor Shri Ram Sutar, known for his globally acclaimed work, is crafting the 100-foot-tall bronze statue of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The statue is being constructed at a foundry in Delhi, with the structural design approved by IIT Mumbai.

Some parts of the statue have already been transported from Delhi to Pimpri-Chinchwad by truck and have arrived in Moshi. Before the statue is erected, essential processes like joining the bronze sections and other necessary preparations will be carried out on-site. Experts from IIT Mumbai will oversee these procedures to ensure precision.

Despite ongoing work, certain individuals are spreading misinformation by sharing photos of a part of the statue, falsely claiming there are flaws. However, the erection of the statue has not yet begun, and there is no truth to these rumors. Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh has appealed to the public not to believe such unfounded rumors.
