Speaking to Pune Pulse, Nilesh Deshmukh, Assistant Commissioner, PCMC Tax Department, said “Our team had seized several properties in Thergaon on Wednesday (13th December). Property owners are advised to pay their property tax completely before their property is seized because this action will intensify.”

As per further information, in spite of having previously sent pre-seizure notices to the relevant property owners for failure to pay overdue taxes, the department acted decisively on Wednesday. As part of a campaign, the enforcement is being carried out, and the authorities have declared that the intense drive will continue until the end of March 2024.

PCMC Tax officials along with several officers of Maharashtra Security Force participated & provided support for the operation.
