To ensure that all city government buildings are accessible to people with special needs, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) launched the first accessibility audit of its kind.

As of right now, 65 buildings have been identified by the city officials. The duty of auditing was assigned to a consultant hired by the government during the final week of January of this year. The audit’s final report will probably be released before March is out.

Within four months of receiving the audit report, according to a senior PCMC official, all the necessary modifications will be made to these buildings to make them accessible to citizens with disabilities.
