There is only one bus available for taking dead bodies to the crematorium in Pune, which limits access to the service for only a few families.

Many households have no access to the mortuary, resulting in the need to pay for a private ambulance to transport the deceased to the crematorium.

As per the information provided, this places a financial burden on families who are already struggling with healthcare costs.

The Shiv Sena office-bearers in the Shivajinagar assembly constituency, along with the president of PMPML, have requested an increase in the buses for transporting dead bodies to crematorium. Some people have warned of protest if the number of buses is not increased.

Upon inquiry, the contact number provided for PMPMML’s bus facility for crematorium transport (020-24503211) was found to be non-existent. It seems that there is only one bus available, and attempting to contact them results in a recorded message stating that they have relocated.
