Philatelic Exhibition to be held till October 4 at NIN
On the occasion of ‘Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti 2022’ in the year of ‘Azadi Ka Amritmahatsav’, Pune Postal Region,the Department of Posts, India, inaugurated a Philatelic exhibition themed on Mahatma Gandhi at the National Institute of Naturopathy, “Bapu Bhavan”, Pune.
A Special Cover of “Bapu and Pune” On 02 October 2022 was also released today by Shri. Ganesh Sawaleshwarkar, Postmaster General, Navi Mumbai Region additional charge of Pune Region. Prof. Dr. K. Satya Lakshmi, Director, National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune, Smt. Simran Kaur, Director Postal Service, Pune Region, Shri. Abhay Narayan Tripathi (Retired IFS), Dr. Hema Yadav, Director, Vaikunth Mehta National Cooperative Society, Shri. Rajendra Shah, Prof. R. K. Mutatkar, Dr. Vitthal S. Bandal, etc. were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganesh Sawaleshwarkar, Postmaster General spoke on Gandhijis connection with Pune and contribution of residents of Pune in freedom he also spoke on Natropathy as a way of life.
Speaking on the occasion, Simran Kaur, Director Postal Services, Pune Region, highlighted prominent aspects about the Special Cover “Bapu and Pune” which was released on the occasion.
In the said program, Philatelists who have participated in the philatelic exhibition were felicitated by Pune Postal Region.
The said Philatelic Exhibition will be open to all members of public from 02nd October 2022 to 04th October 2022 from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
Citizens may visit the Exhibition being held in the serene premises of National Institute of Naturopathy “Bapu Bhavan”.
The Special Cover “Bapu and Pune” is available for sale at Pune Head Post Office, Pune City Post Office, and Philately Bureau of all Head Post Offices at Ahmednagar, Baramati, Karad, Pandharpur, Satara, Solapur and Srirampur in Pune Postal Region.
