Photography Prohibited in Kedarnath Temple : Violators to Face Legal Action

In an effort to maintain the sanctity of Kedarnath Temple in Uttarakhand, photography has been strictly banned within its premises. The decision came after a girl proposed to her boyfriend near the temple, leading to a viral video. The Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has installed warning signs throughout the temple, making it clear that anyone found taking pictures or recording videos will be subject to legal consequences.

The President of the Temple Committee, Ajay Ajendra, emphasized the importance of modest attire for pilgrims visiting Kedarnath Dham. The ban was imposed due to previous incidents of inappropriate behavior and to prevent any further misconceptions or inappropriate actions.

To enforce the ban effectively, warning boards have been placed in various locations within the temple premises, indicating that mobile phones are not allowed and photography and videography are strictly prohibited. The temple committee aims to ensure that the religious sanctity of the temple is preserved and has urged the police to take action against those who violate the ban by making videos or reels on the premises.
