Pimple Saudagar: In a strong show of grassroots unity, Pimple Saudagar residents and long-time supporters of corporator Nana Kate have pledged to take complete charge of the local election campaign for the upcoming Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) polls and assured victory for the four-member panel of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

The assurance came during a meeting held at Pimple Saudagar Gaothan, where Kate’s core team, party workers, and local villagers gathered to express their support. According to sources present at the meeting, Nana Kate has been entrusted with the responsibility of Prachar Pramukh (campaign in-charge) by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Supporters, many of whom have worked closely with Kate for over two decades, urged him to focus fully on the wider campaign role assigned by the party leadership. They assured him that the on-ground election work in Pimple Saudagar would be handled collectively by them.

“You carry out the responsibility given to you by the party. We will manage the election campaign here,” supporters were quoted as saying during the meeting.

The gathering also saw a clear commitment to Nana Kate’s entire NCP panel, which includes three other sitting corporators. Party workers and villagers assured that they would work in coordination at the booth and ward levels to ensure the victory of all four NCP candidates in the upcoming civic polls.

The development reflects a coordinated local strategy, with Kate’s trusted support base stepping in to shoulder campaign responsibilities. It also highlights the long-standing connection between Nana Kate and the Pimple Saudagar community, which supporters believe will play a decisive role in securing a clean sweep for the NCP panel in the PCMC elections.
