Pimpri Chinchwad police are fighting against noise pollution in their style

Pimpri Chinchwad Police recently booked bike riders for tampering the original silencer pipes and making loud sounds in an effort to fight noise pollution. Over 30 such bike riders were fined by Pimpri Chinchwad Police recently.

Giving details about the drive, Anand Bhoite, deputy commissioner of Police said, “These bikers were booked under Motor vehicles Act 1988. But since these vehicles also cause noise pollution, they shall be booked under Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2000. These vehicle owners had replaced the original bike silencer pipes and drive rashly.”
