The Pimpri Chinchwad Police has filed a case against a firm Liparu Infra Ltd for doing digging work on the road from Mukai Chowk to Kiwale Gaon without No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Police. The police have urged everyone to not do digging work without the Police NOC.

As per further information from the Pimpri Chinchwad Police,

The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police is committed to manage & maintain smooth traffic flow in industrial areas such as Chakan, Bhosari, Talegaon etc, IT Park areas such as Hinjawadi, Talwade, Chikhali, Dehu and Alandi, which are lands of Jagatguru Sant Shree Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Shrestha Shree Dnyaneshwar Maharaj & all other areas.

As it is necessary to obtain a no objection certificate from the Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police for excavations that are being carried out on roads within the jurisdiction of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, the concerned contractors are applying to this office for obtaining permission before carrying out the excavation. After that, they are issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) by adding the appropriate terms and conditions from the Traffic Police.

After giving NOC, it was frequently seen that the contractors were not complying with the terms and conditions laid down by the Traffic Police.

There are daily visits of VVIPs and VIPs in the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate. Hence, it is very important that the roads during the visit are safe. However, by working or digging the roads without permission from the Traffic Police, the possibility of a major disaster cannot be ruled out. The order was given to the Traffic Police to inspect the excavation being done without permission.

Pursuant to the said order, the Dehu Road Traffic Police Division has booked Farooq Khan of Liparu Infra Ltd under Sections 283, 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for doing digging work on the road from Mukai Chowk to Kiwale Gaon.

Hence, all contractors are hereby cautioned that no one shall carry out digging on roads without permission. It should be noted that if such illegal digging work is found, appropriate legal action will be taken against them.
