Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police holds awareness drive for school students

Every officer of the Traffic Division in the Pimpri Chinchwad Commissionerate is implementing the program “One Day for School” every Thursday in every week of the month in their respective divisions. 

Under this initiative, a total of 20 teams of the traffic police will go to 20 schools every Thursday and educate the students about road safety, traffic regulation, accidents, staying away from drug addiction, cybercrime, use of social media, respect for women and girls. Guidance is being given on the points etc.

As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police, on 22/02/2024, around 2885 students from the selected schools were guided. A total of 56621 students have been mentored under this initiative “One Day for School”. With the view that students should become responsible citizens and good human beings, this educational activity has been successfully planned by Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Department.

The above activities are done under the guidance of Vinay Kumar Choubey, Commissioner of Police Pimpri Chinchwad, Vasant Pardeshi, Additional Commissioner of Police Vivek Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Police Pimpri Chinchwad, Bhaskar Dere Assistant Commissioner of Police – 1 Traffic Branch, Satish Kasbe Assistant Commissioner of Police – 2 Traffic Branch and through all Police Officers and Subordinate Officers of Traffic Police on 22/2/2024. 

The next phase of this student-oriented initiative, which is receiving enthusiastic response, will be held on February 29, 2024.
