PMC announces road closure on BT Kawade Road; Check details

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the closure of the road from BT Kavade Road, Thopte Chowk to Bharat Forge Company from January 6 to 8, with the goal of advancing the construction of the railway flyover at Ghorpadi. To make it easier to lay the iron girders for the future flyover, the closure is required.

The Municipal Corporation’s Projects Department is in charge of managing the current construction of the railway flyover at Ghorpadi. The installation of iron girders, an essential step in this process, is planned for January 6–8. 

As a result, on these dates, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., the impacted road segment will be closed to all traffic.

The municipal administration has advised drivers to take alternate routes during the designated closure period in order to minimize inconvenience. 

The alternative route from BT Kavade Road Smart Point, Vanraj Corner to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk (BG Shirke Company Gate No 1), Vathare Mala Road, was recommended by Bonala to the citizens. It is noteworthy that this detour is exclusively intended for two-wheelers and small cars.
