PMC asks pvt hospitals to release 80 % of their beds for Covid19 patients

As the Covid19 positive cases are hitting a new record everyday, Pune Municipal Corporation is gearing up to make arrangements of beds to accommodate the increasing number of patients.

On March 29, 2021 the Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation wrote to all the private hospitals to release 80 % of their beds for Covid 19 patients by March 31, 2021.

PMC in its letter has stated that Maharashtra is seeing maximum number of cases of Covid 19 patients and Pune city has been hitting new records. Keeping in mind the increasing numbers, the civic body has asked the private hospitals to release their 80 percent of its operational beds for Covid 19 patients in the next two days or even before that. PMC has also asked to keep their 20 % beds for non covid and emergency patients only. Also, arrangements must be made for Isolation wards / beds, oxygenated beds, ICU (without ventilator) and ICU (with ventilator) must be prepared without any further delay.
