All you need to know about PMC helpline for ambulance service

Keeping in mind the surge in Covid19 cases, Pune Municipal Corporation has issued a list of numbers to call for ambulances for medical attention.

PMC has made provision of ambulances for patients as well as to carry bodies of the deceased patients. These ambulances are currently used at various hospitals, isolation centers, Covid Care Centers. The increase in numbers of the ambulances has put pressure on the system and hence private ambulance services have been pressed into service. 
Currently, PMC has 46 ambulances while 32 have been acquired , so a total of 78 vehicles are in use, out of which 16 are used to carry deceased patients while 62 vehicles are in use for carrying patients.

Out of these 62 ambulances, 45 are equipped with oxygen supply. Over 45 ambulances are being used at (Baner Covid Center, Covid Care Center and Isolation wards), while 17 ambulances are being used at PMC run hospitals and clinics (non covid hospitals).

Those seeking help from ambulances can call on the helpline numbers such as 9689939381 and 108.

Patients seeking for beds in hospitals can connect on 020-25502110 to know the exact availability of beds at Isolation centers, covid care centers and other hospitals. Only after ascertaining the exact availabilty of beds ambulance should be called for.

As per the guidelines issued by Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar and Additional Commissioner, PMC Kunal Khemnar 45 ambulances are equipped with oxygen supply which are available 24 hours. To call for their service – dial 108 and 9689939381.
