Pune : The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), along with 3 other organizations, will organize a ‘Mini Mega Drive’ for e-waste collection & segregation for Dhankawadi, Sahakarnagar & Padmavati areas.

As per further information, in association with Pune Municipal Corporation, Cummins India Foundation, KPIT, and Poornam Ecovision Foundation, Pune, a Mini Mega Drive in Dhankawadi, Sahakarnagar & Padmavati areas in Dhankawadi-Sahakarnagar Ward.

The following waste types will be accepted:

· E-Waste:

  • Computer Parts
  • TV Parts
  • Parts of the music system
  • Pen drive, CD, DVD
  • Home appliance parts
  • All electronic and electrical items damaged and unused will be accepted. All these items will be sent for recycling
  • Plastic Waste:
  • Milk bags (wash the bag after taking out the milk so that it does not smell dirty after collection)
  • Grocery bags (bags of wheat, rice, sugar, salt, pulses)
  • Chocolate, Biscuit Cover
  • Plastic toys/ bottles/ spoons/ cans
  • Medicine bottles (need to wash off syrup)
  • Other plastic household items
  • Plastic packing bags
  • Plastic buckets, mugs
  • Thermocol

Note – No items should contain glass lights or glassware, wet waste, food, and perishable items.

Plastic and e-waste are being collected at several centers. During this festive season, plastic, thermocol, and e-waste that comes out after cleaning the house or buying new items (home appliances) should be deposited at the ongoing center instead of throwing away as usual.

The drive will take place on November 5 (Sunday) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
