PMC to take stern action against illegal hoardings, flex, banners

The Pune Municipal Corporation has planned to fine the advertisers as well as the advertising agencies to the tune of Rs 50,000 for installing illegal hoardings. 
If the violator fails to pay the fine amount, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will charge the amount to the property owners, on whose (space) the illegal hoarding has been put up.

Vijay Landage, deputy commissioner, (technical) sky sign department, PMC said, “Since the year 2018, all rights for permissions and action against illegal banners, hoardings have been given to the respective ward offices. With the new approval the ward offices have begun taking action against all illegal banners, flex, kiosks, hoardings, posters, flags, across Pune city. In the last two days, illegal hoardings – 7, boards – 464, banner – 176, flex – 276, flags – 33, poster – 279, kiosks – 362 and sky signs – 116 have been removed.”

Action against Illegal Advertisement, Hoardings, flex 
A) Those without any legal permission shall be imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 
B) Charges of removing such hoardings shall be taken from the agency / person installing it 
C) If the organisation or individual fails to pay the charges within the stipulated time , the same shall be recovered from the land / site owner. 
D) If the land / site owner fails to pay the charges it will be deducted from his property tax.


2) Hoardings / Flex as per the regulations : Legalisation of advertisement hoardings will be liable for payment of the installation charges, legalisation of fees from the day of installation. 

3) Illegal banners, flex, flags : 1-10 boards – Rs 1000 More than 10 boards, banners – Rs 5000
