The Anti Trafficking Cell has conducted a successful operation, rescuing eight women from a prostitution racket operating under the guise of spa centers in Hinjewadi and Wakad areas. Over the past three days, the cell has filed cases against the owners involved in the illegal activities. This year alone, 31 cases have been registered, leading to the rescue of 32 women victims, with 45 individuals facing charges.

Instances of women being exploited in the name of spa centers have been reported in various parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad city. Women are often lured into working at these centers with promises of lucrative earnings, only to be coerced into prostitution. Such cases have been recurring, prompting authorities to take action.

Following raids conducted at three spas within the jurisdiction of the Hinjewadi and Wakad police stations, eight women were rescued.

Six spa operators and owners have been charged in connection with the illicit operation. Eight women have been rescued by the Anti-Human Trafficking Department in raids at Breath Spa in Hinjewadi and The Gold Thai Spa in Wakad, The Rice Spa Centre.

The Anti Trafficking Cell continues its efforts to crack down on similar illegal activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals in the community.
