“We are facing regular problems due to delay in completion of footpath work between Shivar Chowk & Kokane Chowk. There are places with electrical cables exposed & uncovered drain holes exposing serious hazards to Senior Citizens & public walking on this road. There are not enough barricades alongside this stretch. Couple of days back one child fell down while crossing the road. This is a serious concern as thousands of people walk/cycle across this road daily,” said Tapas Choudhury, resident from Mithras park.

“The damaged road at Shivar chowk, has become a bit risky. The concrete stones are all scattered here & there and are prone to accidents. It is horrible to drive on this patch of road for two- wheelers. There is one more patch in front of SNBP school, Rahatani road junction road also needs to be repaired as early as possible, as schools are going to open from next month,” said Sushma V V L, a resident of Planet Millennium Society.

When Pune Pulse spoke to local corporator, Shatrughna Kate, he said, “The officials are asked to expedite the work. Also, the potholes will be covered.”
