Provisional orders issued for parking & traffic changes in Pune; Check details

With an emphasis on maintaining a safe and smooth flow of traffic, the Pune Traffic Police has temporarily ordered the Yerawada, Sinhagad Road, Dattawadi, and Deccan Traffic Branches to make changes to the parking arrangements in various areas.

As per further information from Pune Traffic Police, following are the area-wise provisional orders:

·         Sinhagad Road

From Sinhagad Institute of Management’s opposite back entrance Polyhub Food Court to Survey No. 45/2B/2 Shivtirtha Society Lane No. 1 Wadgaon Budruk Pune, there is no parking allowed for up to 30 meters on either side of the road.

·        Yerawada

From Golf Club Chowk to Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil School and from Ambedkar Chowk to Kamraj Nagar, parking is prohibited on both sides of the street.

There is no parking allowed for 200 meters on both sides of the street between the fire station’s main entrance and the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Vidyalaya plaque, which is 15 meters to the north.

·        Dattawadi

Up to 200 meters beyond the road’s split, which separates Swami Vivekananda Chowk from Shree Navshya Maruti Temple, parking is prohibited on both sides.

·        Deccan

There are no designated parking areas on Prabhat Road Lane No. 3, which runs from Saraswati Apartment, Ramraje Nimbalkar Bungalow, Ganga Bhavan, Center Courtside, Rituja Bakery to Ajit Bungalow and Gharkul Society, Ramchandra Niwas to Bikul Society, and Mayur Society.

Parking for two-wheelers is available without an entrance from Prashant Bungalow to Ranade Bungalow, as well as from Shaligram Bungalow to Vinita Apartment and Nisarga Apartment to Janaki Ashram Road.

By February 14, the public is invited to send written comments and objections about these temporary traffic changes to the Deputy Commissioner of Police’s office at the Traffic Control Branch, Yerawada Post Office, Bungalow No. 6, Jail Road, Pune. Shashikant Borate, Deputy Commissioner of Police, said that a comprehensive assessment will be conducted before issuing the final orders, which will take into account public feedback and exclude necessary service vehicles.
