Pune: 175 Fake Watches Using FastTrack Logo Seized; Seller Booked
Pune, February 1, 2025: The Unit 5 Crime Branch took action against a seller for allegedly selling counterfeit wristwatches bearing the FastTrack company logo.
Acting on a tip-off, Assistant Police Inspector Vijaykumar Shinde, along with police personnel Gaikwad, Swami, and women constables Swati Tupe and Pallavi More, conducted a raid at Chamunda Novelties, located in the parking area of Shahabiya Society, Shukrawar Peth, Pune.
The accused, identified as Bharat Devjibhai Prajapati, residing at House No. 512, Umaprasad Society, Shaniwar Peth, Pune, was caught selling fake FastTrack wristwatches. A total of 175 counterfeit watches, valued at approximately ₹1,75,000, were seized.
Following the raid, a case was registered at Faraskhana Police Station under Copyright Act 1957, Sections 61, 63, and 65. Further investigation is being carried out by officials from Faraskhana Police Station.
This operation was executed under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Nikhil Pingle and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime-2) Rajendra Mulik, with the leadership of Senior Police Inspector Yuvraj Hande and the Unit 5 crime team.
