Pune : 3 Goats Electrocuted Due To Open Cables In Pimple Saudagar 

Three goats were electrocuted after they came in contact with an open electric cable on Tuesday (19th September) in Vishwashanti Colony area of ​​Pimple Saudagar.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Sandeep Kate, Social Worker, said “The incident happened because an electrical cable of Mahavitaran was lying open from a DP Box in Vishwashanti Colony area. Laxity & negligence of Mahavitaran is responsible for this incident. The administration should take strict action against the culprits. Also, immediate compensation should be given to the poor shepherd. Also, it is my humble request to the administration to conduct a detailed survey of all DP boxes in Pimple Saudagar & fix everything related to them, not only electricity cables, but everything as soon as possible.”

As per further information, a shepherd was taking goats for grazing along the BRTS route in Vishwashanti Colony area of ​​Pimple Saudagar and passed through the DP box of  Mahavitaran along the road. Three goats died on the spot due to the shock of the exposed cable.

Meanwhile, the shepherd boy was thrown aside as he was touched by an electric cable lying exposed. Nearby citizens had gathered at the spot. The shepherd family’s goats are being mourned.

A complaint has been lodged at the Pimple Saudagar police station regarding the incident.
