Pune : Universal Postal Union holds International Letter Writing Competition for young people

Department of Posts, Maharashtra Postal Circle has organised 37th All India Postal Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament, in Pune from 30th January 2024 to 02nd February 2024 at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Mhalunge, Pune 411045.
The inaugural ceremony of this tournament will be held at the venue on Tuesday, 30th January 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Shri. Shekhar Singh, Commissioner, PCMC will inaugurate the tournament. Shri. Kiran Bhagat, Maharashtra Kesari, Runnerup will be the guest of honour. Shri Kishan Kumar Sharma, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Shri Ramchandra Jayabhaye, Postmaster General Pune Region and Ms Simran Kaur, Director Postal Services, will present on the occasion.
The 36th All India Postal Weight Lifting, Power Lifting & Best Physique Tournament was held in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
In Pune, about 150 competitors across the country will participate in the event. Day wise events are as follows:
30/01/2024:
The Weight Lifting Tournament in 10 categories of the weight
31/01/2024 & 01/02/2024:
Power Lifting Tournament in 08 categories of the weight followed by a cultural evening on 01/02/2024.
02/02/2024:
Best Physique Tournament in 10 categories of the weight on followed by Arm Wrestling Demo and Closing Ceremony.
The winners of this Tournament will be part of the Inter -Departmental Tournament of Central Government.
Best Physique Competitor will be awarded “Dak Shree” during the prize distribution.
