Pune: AI-Based Reconstruction to Aid Investigation in Fatal Porsche Car Accident In Kalyani Nagar 

On May 19 at around 2:30 a.m., a tragic accident occurred in Kalyani Nagar. A 17-year-old boy, driving a Porsche under the influence of alcohol, collided with a motorcycle. This resulted in the deaths of IT engineers Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta.

To enhance the investigation, Pune City Police will use AI-based technologies to create a simulated model of the accident. This model will serve as technical evidence during the trial. The AI tools will help in recreating the accident scenario accurately. They will enhance pattern recognition, visual analysis, and crime scene reconstruction.

“We have shortlisted two firms for this task—one from Hyderabad and another from Bangalore,” said a senior police officer. “We will soon finalize the selection. We believe this simulated model will serve as corroborative evidence.”

The police believe that using AI will provide a detailed and accurate representation of the incident. This technological approach aims to offer clear evidence to support the investigation and trial. The AI-based model will help in understanding the accident dynamics and validating witness statements.
