Pune airport has experienced a significant boost in air travel opportunities for passengers during the month of June, as 11 new flights have commenced operations, offering connections to various destinations. With the ongoing summer schedule, airport authorities are optimistic that the remaining vacant slots will also be filled soon.

The introduction of new flights has expanded the connectivity options for travelers from Pune. Passengers can now fly to Delhi, Nagpur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru directly from Pune, thanks to the newly established routes that became operational in June. Excitingly, the first week of July is set to witness the inauguration of two additional flights, connecting Pune with Rajkot and Vadodara. Moreover, a new flight to Hyderabad is scheduled to commence early next month, offering enhanced convenience for passengers traveling to the southern region of India. Looking ahead, plans are underway to launch another flight to Goa later this year. Unlike the existing flights that operate to Dabolim Airport in South Goa, this new route will operate from the Manohar International Airport in North Goa, further enriching the travel options for Pune residents.

Currently, Pune airport boasts a total of 89 to 92 flights, resulting in approximately 178 to 184 arrivals and departures on a daily basis. The increased number of flight operations not only facilitates seamless travel for passengers but also contributes to the overall growth and development of Pune’s aviation sector.
