Pune, August 24: The Sub-Divisional Engineer of the Mutha Canal Pathbandare Sub-Division, Pune, has announced an increase in water discharge from the Khadakwasla Dam into the Mutha River basin. The discharge rate, which was previously set at 31,515 cusecs, has now been raised to 35,310 cusecs. This adjustment has been made to manage the water levels effectively, and authorities have indicated that further changes may be implemented as necessary.

Residents living near the riverbanks and low-lying areas are advised to remain alert due to the elevated water levels. The Pune Municipal Corporation has urged the public to exercise caution and take preventive measures to avoid potential danger.
