Pune: From October 6 to 8, the railway block will be held on CSMT-Wadi Bunder Section due to which several trains will be affected. Pune-CSMT Indrayani Express will remain cancelled on  October 7 & 8. 

As per further information shared by the Public Relations Department, Central Railways, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) presently has 18 platforms of which platforms no 8 to 18 cater exclusively for arrival/departure of mail/express and passenger trains.

After the arrival of any mail/express train on the platform and deboarding of passengers, the empty train is hauled by shunting engines to Wadi Bunder/Mazgaon yard for cleaning and maintenance to receiving/dispatch lines where they are further channeled and sent to different lines such as sick line, pit line, examination line, stabling line etc as per the need of the coach or train.

Presently, three lines (receiving/dispatch (RD) line no 1, 2 and 4) are connected for shunting the empty train to Wadi Bunder/Mazgaon yard. The ongoing infrastructure work on the CSMT-Wadi Bunder section is being carried out to provide connectivity of receiving/dispatch line no 3 (RD line no 3) with line no 7. 

This connectivity will improve mobility of shunting of mail express trains to the yard and ensure better, more efficient and safer train operations since after the block, there will be a total of 4 lines at the Wadi Bunder yard to receive / dispatch trains from CSMT instead of the current 3 lines.

Hence, a block has been undertaken for the above infrastructure work till October 8 2023.

Day wise details of repercussions on mail/express/passenger trains due to the infrastructure work are as follows:

Date of Block – October 6 to October 7 2023

Time of Block – From 23:00 on October 6 2023 to 5:00 on October 7 2023

Following are the details of the rescheduling of trains:

12809 CSMT-Howrah express journey commencing on (JCO) October 7, 2023, at 21:10, is rescheduled to leave at 00:45 am.

Short Termination of Trains:

·         11004 Sawantwadi-Dadar Tutari Express JCO October 5, 2023, will be shortly terminated at Panvel

·         22224 Sainagar Shirdi-CSMT Vande Bharat Express JCO October 6, 2023, will be shortly terminated at Dadar

·         12810 Howrah-CSMT Express JCO October 5 2023 will be shortly terminated at Thane

·         12870 Howrah-CSMT Superfast Express JCO October 6 2023 will be shortly terminated at Thane

Short Origination of Trains:

·         11003 Dadar-Sawantwadi Tutari Express JCO  October 7 2023 will originate from Panvel and will be rescheduled to leave at 1:15.

Date of Block – October 7 to 8 2023

Time of Block – From 23:00 on October 7 2023 to 5:00 am on October 8 2023

The following trains will remain cancelled on October 7 & 8 2023:

·         22106 Pune-CSMT Indrayani Express JCO October 7, 2023, will be cancelled

·         22105 CSMT-Pune Indrayani Express JCO October 8, 2023, will be cancelled

Short Termination of Trains:

·         11004 Sawantwadi-Dadar Tutari Express JCO October 6, 2023, will be short-terminated at Panvel

·         22224 Sainagar Shirdi-CSMT Vande Bharat Express JCO October 7, 2023, will be short-terminated at Dadar

·         12810 Howrah-CSMT Express JCO October 6, 2023, will be suitably regulated and short-terminated at Dadar

·         12052 Madgaon-CSMT Janshatabdi Express JCO October  72023 will be short-terminated at Panvel

·         11058 Amritsar-CSMT Express JCO October 6, 2023, will be short-terminated at Thane

·         11020 Bhubhaneshwar-CSMT Konark Express JCO October 6, 2023, will be suitably regulated and short-terminated at Dadar

·         12112 Amravati-CSMT Superfast Express JCO October 7, 2023, will be short-terminated at Dadar

·         17058 Secunderabad-CSMT Devgiri Express JCO October 7, 2023, will be short-terminated at Dadar

Short Origination of Trains:

·         11003 Dadar-Sawantwadi Tutari Express JCO October 8 2023 will short originate from Panvel and will be rescheduled to leave at 1:15 am

·         12051 CSMT-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express JCO October 8 2023 will short originate from Panvel and will be rescheduled to leave at 6:25 am

Regulation of Trains on October 8 2023:

·         12702 Hyderabad-CSMT Hussain Sagar Express arriving on October 8 2023 will be suitably regulated

·         11140 Hospete-CSMT Express arriving on October 8 2023 will be suitably regulated

·         11402 Adilabad-CSMT Nandigram Express arriving on October 8 2023 will be suitably regulated

·         22158 Chennai Egmore-CSMT Express arriving on October 8 2023 will be suitably regulated

Rescheduling of Trains on October 8 2023:

·         22159 CSMT-Chennai Egmore Express JCO October 8 2023 scheduled to leave at 12:45 pm will be rescheduled to leave at 13:45.

Passengers are requested to note these repercussions and make their travel plans accordingly. These infrastructure works and blocks are carried out in the larger interest of passengers and the nation.
