Pune District Voter List Finalized: 8647172 Eligible Voters For Upcoming Elections
Pune, August 31, 2024: The election office on Friday released the final voter list for the 21 assembly constituencies in Pune district, confirming a total of 8,647,172 eligible voters for the upcoming polls. Deputy Election Commissioner Minal Kalaskar announced the figures, revealing that the office had received 5.79 lakh applications for new voter registrations across 8,417 polling booths ahead of the final publication of the summary revision of the electoral roll.
The voter list includes 4,491,068 male voters, 4,155,330 female voters, and 774 individuals of the third gender. Kalaskar was joined by Tehsildar Shital Muley and representatives from various political parties during the announcement.
Key statistics from the voter list show that the Junnar assembly segment has 356 polling booths, with a total of 320,470 voters, including 163,224 males, 157,242 females, and 4 third-gender individuals. Khed Alandi constituency has 366,873 voters and 389 polling booths, with a breakdown of 189,444 males, 177,417 females, and 12 third-gender voters. Shirur features 455,540 voters, with 457 polling booths, and has 237,197 males, 218,320 females, and 23 third-gender individuals.
In other key constituencies, Daund has 313,110 eligible voters across 310 polling booths, while Indapur has 334 polling booths and 333,030 voters. Baramati constituency reports 375,152 voters and 386 polling booths, and Purandar has 451,800 voters spread across 451 polling booths.
In Pune city, the Shivajinagar assembly constituency has 280 polling booths with a total of 289,762 voters, including 146,129 males, 143,587 females, and 46 third-gender individuals. The Hadapsar assembly segment leads with 608,142 eligible voters across 525 polling booths. Other constituencies, such as Kothrud, Khadakwasla, and Parvati, also show significant voter counts, with 409,151, 561,955, and 354,062 voters, respectively.
This finalized voter list sets the stage for the forthcoming elections, ensuring that every eligible voter in Pune district is accounted for.
