The Anjuman-I-Islam’s Peermohamed Campus at Bund Garden Pune at the hands of its Executive Chairman Haseeb Faquih felicitated its President Dr Zahir Kazi on being conferred the country’s fourth highest civilian award the Padma Shri on 27th February, 2024 at its Noorah Al Bassam Hall.  The event was witnessed by a host of dignitaries including Dr P A Inamdar,  Mumtaz and Munawar Peerbhoy,  Noorjehan and Padma Shri Naushad Padamsee, Arnawaz Damania, Retd Chief Commissioner IT A J Khan. 

Dr Zahir Kazi a renowned Radiologist attached to numerous hospitals in Mumbai has been in the public service for over 40 years, 14 of which as President of the Anjuman-I-Islam, a 150-year-old educational conglomerate having 97 institutions and over 1.10 lac students which includes schools, degree and professional colleges leading up to research. The Anjuman-I-Islam is soon opening a campus at Solapur and an integrated medical campus at Goa. Lately it has entered into strategic partnerships with MIT and Havard following the visit of Dr Kazi in 2023.

The Anjuman-I-Islam’s Pune Campus is exclusively for girls nurturing the lives of over 3500 students and has schools, a polytechnic, and an Orphanage. The Peermohamed campus will celebrate its Centenary in 2025.

On this occasion, the Peermohamed Campus inaugurated the renovated pre-primary wing for it’s Urdu and English Nursery students at the hands of Mrs Naim Hamed Farooqui.
