Pune Expands HSRP Services for Out-of-District Vehicles, Home Delivery Simplified
Pune is taking steps to make it easier for residents to obtain High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP) for their vehicles. The city is seeing a surge in demand for HSRP plates due to the mandatory requirement and the influx of vehicle owners from other districts who have moved to Pune for education, employment, and business opportunities.
To address the increased demand and alleviate time constraints, Pune is expanding the number of HSRP installation centers. This will be particularly beneficial for residents who have vehicles registered in other districts in Maharashtra but are currently residing in Pune.
The RTO is also working to address the issue of some HSRP installation centers closing without prior notice, which can be inconvenient for senior citizens. Efforts are underway to ensure continuity and prevent such disruptions.
Instructions to waive home delivery fees.
The RTO in Pune is trying to make it easier for people to get High-Security Registration Plates (HSRP). They’re opening more centers to get them, and they’ve asked Rosmerta Company not to charge for delivery if a building or company has more than 25 vehicles. Some places that install HSRP plates have closed without warning, making it hard for older people to get their plates and efforts are on to fix this issue.
The deadline to get your HSRP plates is April 30, 2025. People who live in Pune but have their vehicles registered in other cities were having trouble getting HSRP plates. To make it easier, Pune is adding more places to get them. Now, people can choose a place in Pune to get their HSRP plates, even if their car is registered somewhere else. This will make it easier for people who use their cars in Pune but don’t live there.
There are about 2.5 million cars in Pune that need to get HSRP plates. Right now, there are 125 places where you can get them, but that’s not enough for all the cars. Because of this, it’s taking a long time to get your plates.
