On 8th December (Friday) afternoon, a massive fire erupted at a candle making factory in Talawade MIDC area due to which 8 female workers of the factory have been severely injured.

Immediately after reaching the spot, the fire was huge & was coming out from the chemical drums in the candle making factory. A total of 14 female workers were working in the factory at that time. Preliminary cause of the workers’ injuries is that they might not have been able to escape after seeing the massive fire. Hence, 8 workers suffered burn injuries. The fire department has extinguished the fire.”
As per further information shared by Vaidya, the other 6 workers out of 14 are speculated to be dead as their search is going on. The injured 8 workers have been admitted to YCM hospital.
