Fire broke out in one of the empty coaches at Pune railway junction yard. The impact of the fire was such that the two other coaches nearby were also damaged in the incident. Four fire tenders and fire personnel contained the fire. There were no reports of injuries reported in the incident. The cause of fire is not known yet.

The incident took place near compressor room number 4 railway when the fire was reported in one of the three coaches which were located in the area. These coaches have been lying at the location for a long time. The fire personnel disconnected the power supply first and then started containing the fire. The fire was extinguished within 30 minutes. In the mean time, the railway personnel, brought the other two coaches to a safer location. Twenty fire personnel under the guidance of Vijay Bhilare contained the fire.

The incident took place at 1.58 AM on February 13. Fire tenders from Yerwada, Naidu fire station, B T Kawade road, Central Fire Brigade.
