Pune Fire Brigade Saves 25-Year-Old Man from River in Kalyani Nagar

Pune: In a dramatic rescue operation, the Pune Fire Brigade responded to a call reporting that a young man had jumped into the river from a bridge in Kalyani Nagar earlier today at 9:07 am. Fire officials from B.T. Kawde Road and Hadapsar station quickly arrived at the scene and found a 25-year-old man stuck in the middle of the river, taking shelter from a tree.

With the help of a rope, life jacket, and life ring, fire brigade personnel approached the man and communicated with him. Pramod Sonawane and Tandel Rajaram Kedari, both fire officers, entered the river to save the man’s life, while Chandrakant Navale, Suraj Bade, driver Akshay Kalshetty, Amit Sarode, Pratap Phanse, Prashant Navgire, Sharad Navgire, Nitesh Dagle, and Ajinkya Khade also participated in the operation.

The young man was successfully rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Police have since arrived at the scene and an investigation is underway. The swift and coordinated efforts of the Pune Fire Brigade personnel have been commended for their bravery and dedication to saving lives.
