Pune : Fire erupts in Chikhali based company, no casualties reported

PUNE: An incident has come to light wherein, around 9:42 a.m., Mahendra Sagalgile informed that a fire had erupted at Tejas Centring and Construction Equipment Pvt. Ltd., located at Talawade Fire Station.

As per the information provided, immediately after the information was received, fire trucks from Chikhali, Pimpri, and Moshi fire stations, along with the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Talwade Sub-Fire Station, were promptly dispatched to the site.

Later, the fire that erupted in the office and paint booth on the ground floor was swiftly extinguished, and office documents and furniture were salvaged. 

The fire, which involved highly flammable materials such as thinners, caused damage to office computers, laptops, refrigerators, fans, thinner cans, inverters, furniture, and some office documents.

The fire was caused by sparks from a grinding machine in the paint booth, which fell onto a nearby compartment containing thinner and ignited the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties. A total of 22 firefighters from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and their four fire trucks from Talwade, Chikhli, Pimpri, and Moshi worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames.

Water tenders were dispatched from Talwade Sub-Fire Station, Chikhli Fire Station, Pimpri Main Fire Station, and the Moshi Sub-Fire Station.
