Pune: Four-Year-Old Radha Nagarkar Sets World Record In Backward Skating

Four-year-old Radha from Pune has set a world record in backward roller skating. The record was confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records. Radha accomplished this feat during a 75-hour, 100-meter backward skating event organized by the Shivganga Roller Skating Club in Belgaum from May 27-31.
Radha has been learning roller skating at the Rock On Wheel Academy since she was three and a half years old. Under the guidance of coach Vijay Malji, she has made impressive strides in the sport. Over the past six months alone, Radha has won 15 medals, including nine gold and six silver, at various competitions.
Besides her recent world record, she has participated in Extreme Records, National Records, and Asia-Pacific Records events. She completed an 8-kilometer skating marathon in Baramati, further showcasing her talent.
Radha’s achievements have earned her recognition and accolades from multiple organizations. Her parents, Abhishek and Sayali Nagarkar, and coach Vijay Malji have been crucial to her success. Radha’s ambition is to represent India in roller skating at international levels.
This young skater’s accomplishments at such a tender age are truly impressive and a testament to her dedication and hard work. Radha’s future in roller skating looks very promising, and her journey is just beginning.
