Forty-six trekkers from Pune, including 10 children, embarked on a unique Independence Day-themed monsoon trek to Korigad Fort. The group completed a 5.1 km trek in just 55 minutes, collectively covering 324,000 steps. They traveled 78 km (one way) to reach their destination.

The youngest participant was just 3.9 years old, while the oldest was 71. Both trekked alongside the larger group with enthusiasm and determination.

The entire journey took 12 hours, culminating in a tree-planting ceremony at the top of the fort as part of the “Save Trees – Plant Trees – Grow Trees” initiative. The trek concluded with the national anthem, as the Indian flag waved proudly atop the fort, creating a moment of pride and patriotism for everyone present.

The event, themed around inclusivity and unity, celebrated the spirit of “One Nation, One Pune, One Hinjawadi, One Blue Ridge.”
