Pune-Howrah Train Cancellations Announced: Check Affected Services
The Bilaspur Division of Indian Railways is set to commission a new 4th line connectivity at Kotarlia station, linking the Raigarh-Jharsuguda Junction 3rd/4th electrified sections. As part of this project, a Pre-Non-Interlocking (Pre-NI) and Non-Interlocking (NI) program has been scheduled to conduct inspections, tests, and safety checks before the new line becomes operational.
Work Schedule:
- Pre-NI Period: 11th April 2025 – 18th April 2025 (8 days)
- NI Period: 19th April 2025 – 23rd April 2025 (5 days)
- Total Duration:Â 13 days

Due to this railway work, several trains on the Pune-Howrah route will remain cancelled:
- Santragachi-Pune Express (20822): Cancelled on 12th & 19th April 2025
- Pune-Santragachi Express (20821): Cancelled on 14th & 21st April 2025
- Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Express (12129): Cancelled from 11th to 24th April 2025
- Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express (12130): Cancelled from 11th to 24th April 2025
- Howrah-Pune Duronto Express (12222): Cancelled on 10th, 12th, 17th & 19th April 2025
- Pune-Howrah Duronto Express (12221): Cancelled on 12th, 14th, 19th & 21st April 2025
