The meeting was attended by Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of MahaMetro (via video conferencing); Dr Yogesh Mhase, Commissioner of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority; Additional Commissioner Deepak Singla; Pune Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Prithviraj B. P.; and Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil.

Dr Pulkundwar instructed officials to conduct detailed surveys of congestion-prone areas in both Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad and prepare traffic regulation proposals based on traffic origin, movement patterns, and directional flow studies.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr Yogesh Mhase emphasised that traffic project proposals should be prepared in the public interest, suggesting the development of master tunnels in high-traffic zones to ease congestion. Shravan Hardikar highlighted the need to determine the number and direction of tunnels based on a comprehensive parking policy for vehicles.

Senior officials from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, along with officers from the Town Planning, Traffic, and Transport Departments, were also present at the meeting.

The review concluded with a consensus on strengthening inter-agency coordination and fast-tracking strategic infrastructure and traffic management projects to improve mobility across the Pune metropolitan region.
