Pune : Kunal Khemnar appointed as Sugar Commissioner; Prithviraj Meena as PMC Additional Commissioner

After the transfer of municipal commissioners, on Tuesday, the state government ordered the transfer of additional municipal commissioners Dr Kunal Khemnar, Vikas Dhakane, while Nagpur Smart City CEO Prithviraj Meena has been appointed as additional municipal commissioner. Dr Khemnar has been appointed as Sugar Commissioner.

As per the order of the Election Commission, the state government issued orders for the transfer of officials on important posts on Tuesday. Dr Kunal Khemnar was appointed as Additional Commissioner of Pune Municipal Corporation on 21 August 2020. His tenure was over. He contributed a lot for the implementation of various projects of the Municipal Corporation.

Meanwhile, Additional Commissioner Dhakane played an important role in solving the problems of roads in the city. Dhakane’s efforts helped pave the way for important projects like ideal roads, ideal schools. Santosh Patil, Chief Executive Officer of Kolhapur Zilla Parishad, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Pune Zilla Parishad.

Additional Commissioner Ashwini Bhide, who was removed from Mumbai Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation. Thane Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has been appointed as Additional Commissioner in Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The state government today transferred thirteen chartered officers after the Central Election Commission gave a blow.

Ashwini Bhide from Mumbai Municipal Corporation along with Additional Commissioner P. Velarasu was also removed. Now Abhijit Bangar has been appointed in place of Velarasu. Rajesh Narvekar has been appointed as the Commissioner of Cooperatives and Registrar of Cooperatives (Pune).
