Magarpatta City, a true cosmopolitan township, witnessed a historic moment this year as it celebrated its first-ever Chhath Puja in its 25 years. Residents from diverse regions of India, particularly from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, came together to celebrate this sacred festival, marking a significant cultural event for the community.

The Chhath Puja was celebrated in a unique manner at the Magarpatta playground, with over 500 residents joining in the festivities, including 21 dedicated vratis (those observing the fast). The event was organized by the Magarpatta Residents Committee, who introduced several engaging activities. A drawing competition was held, where kids showcased their artistic skills through Chhath Puja related images, while children aged 6 to 12 years put on a skit to explain the significance of the festival and the rituals involved.

Folk songs dedicated to Chhathi Maiya,were performed by both male and female members, adding to the festive atmosphere. The highlight of the day was the distribution of Mahaprasad after the Usha Arghya (morning offerings), marking the culmination of the puja.

Nilesh Magar was the chief guest of this event. Magarpatta security, PMS department supported significantly for successful execution of this grand celebration.

The Chhath Mahaparv in Magarpatta City not only brought 250+ families but also showcased the spirit of unity and cultural diversity that defines the township. The auspicious event was attended by other communities like marathi, Gujrati, Telugu, Kannadiga, Rajsthani and many more.
