Pune: Namacha Gajar to take place on July 6
Pune, July 2, 2025: The ‘Namacha Gajar’, a musical program featuring saint compositions, organized annually by Kalashree Sangeet Mandal, will be held on Sunday, July 6, at 5 pm at the Shakuntala Shetty Auditorium of Dr. Kalmadi Shyamrao High School in Erandwane.
The program is open & free to all on a first-come-first-served basis.
The event has received special support from J.V. Ingale of TechExpert.
Founder of Kalashree Sangeet Mandal, Sudhakar Chavan, shared more about the program, “This is the ninth year of the Namacha Gajar program, and this year, renowned vocalist Pt. Raghunath Khandalkar, known as Abhinav Gandharva, along with his sons Suranjan and Shubham Khandalkar, will perform during the program. They will be followed by Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi’s son, vocalist Shrinivas Joshi, and grandson Viraj Joshi, providing a unique opportunity for the audience to enjoy their performances.”
The artists accompanying them will be Kishor Korde and Soham Gorane (tabla), Gangadhar Shinde (harmonium), Parth Bhumkar (pakhawaj), and Anil Bhujbal (taal). The program will be hosted by Akash Thite.
