Amidst the red alert issued in Himachal Pradesh, another disaster has unfolded, leaving 17 tourists from Pune stranded in the floods.

The floods in Himachal Pradesh have caused chaos and disrupted the daily lives of the people. Unfortunately, a group of tourists from Pune, who had traveled there for vacation, now find themselves trapped in the midst of the flooding. Out of the total 17 tourists, contact has been established with 10 individuals, but there is no communication with the remaining 7 tourists and their families. Consequently, the families of these tourists have sought assistance from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

The northern state of Himachal Pradesh is currently grappling with heavy rainfall and devastating floods, leading to severe disruptions in the region. It is a popular tourist destination, attracting a significant number of visitors from Pune and other areas. The relatives of the 17 individuals, who had embarked on a tourism trip to Manali in the Himalayas from Chandigarh between July 4 and 9, have informed the district administration that they have been unable to establish contact with their loved ones.

On Monday and Tuesday, contact was successfully made with ten of the tourists, and their relatives reported to the district administration that they were in a safe location. However, as there is still no contact with the remaining seven individuals, this information has been relayed to the state government, which is coordinating with the local administration in Himachal Pradesh. The district administration is actively working to establish contact with the concerned individuals and ensure their safety.

In the midst of this unfortunate event, it is crucial to prioritize the safety and well-being of the stranded tourists. Efforts are underway to establish communication and provide necessary assistance to those affected. The state government and local authorities are working diligently to mitigate the situation and bring relief to those trapped in the floods.
