At Belbaug Chowk, a traffic police officer named D’Souza showed kindness and quick thinking. He noticed a 10-year-old girl crying and alone. D’Souza approached her and realized she didn’t know where she was in Pune. So, he called the Faraskhana Traffic Branch for help.

Constable Nimgire from the branch talked to the girl, asked about her family, and why she was upset. The girl said she was lost. Nimgire took her to the Faraskhana police station where he called her mother to confirm her story. The girl was from Latur and didn’t know Pune well, so she couldn’t give clear information to the police. The Police called up her mother and reunited the child with her mother.

Following careful confirmation with the mother, the emotional reunion unfolded, with the little girl joyfully handed over to her relieved mother. This incident not only showcases the empathy of a traffic officer but also underscores the importance of community care in urban settings.
