Pune News : Collectors need to decide on ready reckoner rates by December 31

Pune: As per reports, to finalize the ready reckoner (RR) rates for the upcoming year, all district collectors are required to hold meetings with local political leaders within this month.

The state’s stamp and revenue departments are currently focused on enhancing the realism and scientific accuracy of RR rates. This will be achieved through the completion of GIS mapping for all land parcels by January of the upcoming year.

The official stressed the necessity of conducting consultations with all local leaders in December. Additionally, it was declared that comprehensive reports must be provided by all districts within the upcoming two months. The reports ought to be forwarded to the state stamps and revenue department by no later than February.

The release of the final ready reckoner (RR) rates is planned for the conclusion of March and their execution will begin on April 1. No changes have been made to the RR rates in the current fiscal year, with the latest update taking place in 2022.

Developers’ associations have strongly advised against the increase in RR rates, stating that it would align with a phase of expansion in the real estate sector.
