Pune : A delegation of Forum for IT Employees (FITE) Maharashtra, handed over a survey report of IT Freshers’ job issues to Shrikant Bhartiya, a Member of the Legislative Council, on Friday in Pune.

A FITE delegation, including Basu Patil, Gaurav Sisodiya, and Ashutosh Pandey, met with MLC Shrikant Bhartiya to discuss the issues freshers IT employees face. The delegation also requested Shrikant Bhartiya for the necessary policy intervention.

According to FITE, information technology companies used to hire large numbers of freshers every year. However, in the last 1-2 years, it has been observed that a significant amount of the freshers who these IT Companies selected haven’t been able to join any company and are still waiting for their joining formalities. These freshers reached the FITE forum, after which FITE conducted extensive surveys to reach out to more such freshers. To date, FITE has received 600+ responses through surveys in which it was seen that many freshers are still on the bench and waiting to join their respective companies.

Almost 240+ freshers from cities like Bangalore and Pune are waiting to join the company. FITE survey also claimed that, as far as the company-wise survey is concerned, Wipro and Infosys, top the list in which the freshers are waiting to get any formal joining letter.

President of FITE Pune, Pavanjeet Mane, said, “On Friday, we handed over a copy of the study report compiled by FITE on freshers’ joining issue and requested Mr. Bhartiya for necessary intervention so that freshers can join their company as soon as possible.”

He added that Bhartiya had carefully listened to their demands and understood the actual problem being faced by the IT employees and assured them of taking the necessary steps.
