Pune News: Funds Of Rs 52 Crore Sanctioned For Widening Of Overbridge Near Warje And Vadgaon Flyover On Pune Bengaluru National Highway
The narrow bridges over the Mutha River at Warje and the Vadgaon Flyover On Warje-Vadgaon-Narhe Stretch On Pune Bengaluru National Highway have been causing severe traffic congestion. This issue has increasingly troubled local residents, with worsening conditions over time. To address this, there has been a continuous effort to widen these bridges.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has now approved ₹52 crore for the expansion project. It is crucial that this work begins promptly and is completed on schedule. The foundation for the project will be laid by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Efforts are underway to ensure that the project starts as soon as possible.
Additionally, senior leader Sharad Pawar has requested Gadkari to oversee the initiation of this project. Gadkari has agreed to attend the ground-breaking ceremony. Today, local councilor Sachin Dodke met Gadkari to emphasize the urgency of the project. Gadkari has promised to organize a meeting with officials in Delhi next Monday to expedite the process.
Gadkari’s commitment to resolving this issue is appreciated, and the residents look forward to the swift commencement of the bridge expansion. This development is expected to alleviate traffic congestion and provide much-needed relief to the affected commuters.
