Pune: The Hinjawadi Police has decided to get rid of all the confiscated vehicles which are simply occupying the spaces of the Hinjewadi police station despite several repeated reminders to their owners. As per information, the Hinjawadi police will soon hold an open bid where 156 vehicles will be sold.

These seized vehicles under various crime cases are also inviting trouble from dengue and malaria. These vehicles often have grass growing over them during monsoon and may become a mosquito breeding spot. Hence, clearing these vehicles from our premises would be the great option to avert such vector borne diseases.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Vivek Mugalikar, Senior Police Inspector, Hinjawadi Police Station said, “Several vehicles which are confiscated from no parking zones and many more are lying in the police station premises. Despite several reminders, messages & calls to the owners of the vehicles about taking them back, no response has been received by us. Hence, we have decided to soon hold an open bid where such unattended vehicles will be sold.”

As per information from Dr Vivek Mugalikar, there are 156 such unattended vehicles lying in the police station area. Therefore, the Hinjawadi Police have urged all the owners of these vehicles to come and take their vehicles before they are sold in the open bid which will be held soon.
