Pune News : Kondhwa Police Seizes 2 Kilograms of Ganja from drug peddler

In an operation conducted on February 23, the Kondhwa police intercepted a ganja peddler on the Khadi Machine Chowk to Yeolewadi route, seizing a substantial 2 kilograms of the illegal substance.
Senior Police Inspector Santosh Sonawane provided details of the operation, explaining that officers from the Kondhwa Police Station were on patrol duty in the area when they received information about an unidentified individual selling items near the DJ petrol pump. Upon investigation, the suspect, identified as Rajesh Ramesh Pavle, aged 29 and hailing from Santoshnagar, Katraj, Pune, was found in possession of the contraband.
Pavle confessed to the officers that he was in possession of the ganja for the purpose of sale. A total of 1 kilogram and 892 grams of ganja were confiscated from his person and his two-wheeler, with an estimated value of Rs 40,350.
A case has been registered against Pavle under Section 8(c) and 20(b)(ii) of the NDPS Act at the Kondhwa Police Station.
