Members of the CF@11 – Citizens Forum of Prabhag 11 of Pune Municipal Corporation have decided to take the campaign aggressively against the unauthorised hoardings in the area.

The members had earlier taken up the cause of incomplete roads in the area and got the road opened for vehicular movement.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Sandeep Bhadkamkar from Citizens Forum @ 11 said, “Our apolitical group aims at making our neighbourhood a better place to live. We have taken various issues in the past and aim at not just complaining about the concerns but also seeking a solution and resolving the complaints by involving the authorities from various departments.”

Sandeep further stated that in the last one week various hoardings have collapsed leading to fatalities. To avoid this in the future, we must act now. We are now approaching the local politicians from our area urging them to stop posting their banners at unauthorised places. We shall be asking them to give this in writing that they shall not put up their banners or posters nor will they encourage their supporters to do this. Also, we shall be approaching the PMC Commissioner asking him to establish more digital boards which will also provide them an earning source.”

Sandeep further said that the forum has already received a positive response on this issue and the local politician has agreed to our suggestion. We are hoping that other politicians follow this too.

CF@11 also resolves complaints on waste management, composting, waste disposal, traffic issues, etc.It is a residents group of over 150 societies, representing 11000 residents.
