Pune News: Morning Crash in Dive Ghat, Milk Tanker and Bus Collide, No Fatalities
A milk tanker overturned after crashing into a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus in Dive Ghat on Friday morning, around 7 a.m. Several young people who were practicing for police recruitment suffered minor injuries in the incident, but thankfully, there were no fatalities reported.
The PMPML bus was heading towards Saswad from Wadki when the milk tanker approached from the opposite direction. At the second bend of the ghat coming from Wadki, the tanker driver lost control, leading to the collision with the bus. The tanker then swerved towards the mountainside, made a U-turn, and overturned into the valley.
Upon hearing about the accident, local residents Praveen Modak, Shivaji Kalane, Mukesh Undre, and Harish More quickly arrived at the scene. They called for an ambulance to take the injured to Chintamani Hospital in Saswad and informed the police about the incident.
