MLA Mahesh Landge Highlights 10-Year Achievements, Challenges Opponents at Moshi Rally
BJP MLA Mahesh Landge hosted an interactive rally in Moshi, highlighting the achievements over his ten-year term and directly addressing his critics. Landge remarked, “Those who were inactive for ten years have no grounds to criticize me. The opponents who benefited from the complete waiver of property tax are spreading falsehoods and making baseless accusations. I am prepared to answer them, truthfully and boldly, with evidence when the time comes. They can criticize, but I will respond strongly,” Landge warned. He assured constituents of his commitment to maintaining unity in Moshi and took an oath by Saint Nageshwar Maharaj to uphold the harmony within the community.
The rally saw a strong turnout from local residents, with notable attendees, including former mayors Nitin Kalje and Rahul Jadhav, NCP Women’s City President Prof. Kavita Alhat, former deputy mayor Sharad Borhade, and other Mahayuti alliance leaders.
In his speech, Landge recounted, “Between 1997 and 2017, the integrated villages were neglected. But in 2017, the BJP-led municipality brought a wave of development that transformed these areas. Moshi residents were fortunate to have two mayors in the past, both local leaders whose influence helped the community thrive. Despite previous administrative challenges, I ran as an independent candidate in the 2014 Assembly elections and won with the people’s support, entering the legislature to advocate for real change.”
Realizing the Vision of a Spiritual Center
Landge reflected on his vision to establish a Santpeeth (Spiritual Center) in Chikhli, saying, “Our youth are now learning to uphold our spiritual heritage. We have also brought 267 MLD of water to five villages in the Bhosari constituency from the Andra and Bhama Askhed dams. Property tax issues were resolved, and we successfully waived 460 crore rupees in municipal taxes. Can anyone recall the former MLA ever raising his voice in the Assembly on such matters?” he questioned.
Opponents Also Benefitted from Our Work
In a statement on the beneficiaries of his initiatives, Landge remarked, “Even my opponents are beneficiaries of the work I have done. We lifted the 165-crore user fee imposed on society residents, transitioned 97,000 properties to freehold status, and exempted waste fees for 80,000 households. We worked to provide 12.5% land returns to farmers and preserved unity across villages without inciting divisions.”
Landge emphasized his dedication to addressing waste disposal issues in Moshi and criticized the opposition’s questions about his work over the past decade.
