Pune News: MSEDCL electric pole near Eisha Basila housing society in Kondhwa causes concerns

Over 96 residents of Eisha Basila housing society and many around it in Kondhwa Budruk are facing inconvenience due to an electric pole carrying overhead cable which is hanging and blocking the way of residents, apart from posing potential electrical accidents.

The residents have written to Pune Municipal Corporation as well as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited in the past but they have not received any solution to the problem. The frustrated residents took to social media and raised the issue with the government agencies highlighting the issue. 

“The pole is in the middle of the entrance and often leads to accidents. MSEDCL should remove it and lay an underground cable,” said Alamgir Jamadar, a resident.  

Akshit Kotiankar, another resident of the area, said that the pole has caused accidents and should be removed immediately. Ramesh Bhandari, another resident of Eisha Basila, informed that the pole is indeed a danger for everyone living around. 

When Pune Pulse spoke to the engineer of MSEDCL’s, St Mary’s Division, he said that he shall conduct a site visit and assured to provide a solution to the problem.
